Before You Start

To view Prompts and use the CORTO Prompt Library, make sure you have connected your storage service (e.g., OneDrive or Dropbox). For detailed instructions, see OneDrive and Dropbox.


CORTO Prompt Library Overview

The CORTO Prompt Library is a collection of ready-made templates and Prompts. Each Prompt guides CORTO AI to draft letters, briefs, contracts and other legal documents using details from your matters, saving you from starting from scratch.

What You Can Do in CORTO Prompt Library

  • Find The Right Prompt

    1. Search Bar: Quickly locate prompts using keywords or phases

    2. State Filter: Narrow results to a specific jurisdiction to ensure legal compliance

    3. Matter Type Filter: Filter prompts based on the type of the matter (e.g., family law, leases).


  • Start & Manage Prompt Sessions

    1. Start a New Chat: Click + New to begin a new conversation. Select a prompt option will take you to the CORTO Prompt Library where you can choose a predefined prompt. For more information about Prompts, see Prompts in CORTO

    2. Chat History: Review and manage past prompts generated previously, the chat history will appear on the left side of the chat window. You can review earlier prompts or continue from where you left off.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Each chat includes an icon to help you identify its type at a glance. Prompts are identified by purple icons consisting of three vertical rounded rectangles.


  • Select a Prompt & Return to Prompt Library

    1. Select a Prompt: While in the CORTO Prompt Library window, click on a Prompt to open it. This opens the prompt setup page

  1. Return to Prompt Library: Click the back icon next to Prompt Library to return to the main library and browse or select additional prompts.

  1. Edit Your Draft Prompt

    1. Edit a Section: Hover a specific block of text and click the Canvas icon next to any section in your draft. This opens options to refine or change just that part of the text.

    2. Ask CORTO AI to Update: Click Ask CORTO AI to update the highlighted section. You can adjust language or add details without rerunning the full prompt.

    3. Regenerate: Click the Regenerate icon to rewrite the selected section with an alternative version. This is helpful if the first result doesn't meet your requirements and would want a fresh variation.

    4. Delete: Click the Delete icon to remove the selected section entirely.

    5. Undo: Click the Undo Icon to remove previous changes made to a selected section


  1. Refine Your Prompt

    1. Reload: Click the Reload button at the top right when you switch AI models to reload the draft using the newly selected model.

    2. Regenerate Response: Click the Regenerate Response icon at the bottom left of the answer to refresh or modify responses.

    3. Copy: Click the Copy icon at the bottom left of the answer to paste your draft directly on Word, email, or any other document you are working on.

    4. Like / Dislike / Feedback: Click the thumbs up icon or thumbs down icon at the bottom right of the answer. Then provide feedback on the AI-generated output to improve relevance and accuracy of future responses.
