CORTO Prompt Library User Guide
1. Log in to Your CORTO Account
Start by logging into your CORTO account with your credentials.
2. Select a Matter
From your master list, choose the specific matter you want to work on. This will be the context for your prompt library searches and document creation.
3. Click the Prompt Button
In the top navigation bar, next to the "Chat" button, click on the "Prompt" button.
This will navigate you to the Prompt Library page where you can access various templates and prompts.
4. Search for a Prompt
On the Prompt Library page, you will find a search bar at the top center.
Use the search bar to type in keywords or phrases related to the document you wish to create or preview. This allows you to quickly find and select the right prompt for your matter.
5. Filter by State (Optional)
Below the search bar, you will find a dropdown list that allows you to filter prompts by state.
Use this filter to narrow down results specific to your jurisdiction or the legal requirements for the matter you are working on.
6. Filter by Matter Type (Optional)
A second dropdown list, also below the search bar, allows you to filter prompts by Matter Type.
Use this filter to further refine results to match the jurisdiction or legal requirements specific to the matter type.
Note: You may not find prompts for every matter type, as the CORTO legal content team is continually adding to the library. Some matter types may currently have limited prompts, while others offer a broader range.
7. Select a Prompt
Click on the prompt you selected to use to initiate the document creation process.
Once you click on the selected prompt, it will display on the page, ready for you to begin.
8. Download Prompt
To download the selected prompt, click the down arrow next to the Run Prompt button, then click "Download".
Once the prompt is downloaded, you can open it in a Word document. CORTO AI for Word is a simple add-in that allows you to use CORTO AI directly within your Microsoft Word documents.
9. Start the Document creation
Click the "Run Prompt" button to start drafting the document.
CORTO AI will begin gathering relevant information, which may take a few minutes to complete the draft. During this process, you’ll see progress statuses such as "Reading Prompt," "Extracting Details," and "Determining Rules."
10. Review the placeholders and provide the necessary details to complete the document
To complete the draft document, review any placeholders and provide the necessary details. For example, you may need to enter the client's name, date of birth, age, annexure information (if required), and act.
Enter the requested information in the prompt field and click the "Arrowhead (▷)" icon to proceed. CORTO AI will then generate the completed document.
