Whether you have transitioned from another practice management system or have been managing your contacts manually, CORTO helps you control all of your contacts.
1. How to Access Contacts?
You may access all of your Contacts by clicking on the Contacts icon in the top left corner of your screen.
2. How are Contacts created?
Contacts in CORTO are created in two ways:
AI-Generated Contacts
CORTO automatically creates contacts based on the content of the documents in your matters.
User-Created Contacts
You can manually add contacts at any time by:
Click New Contact.
Select Individual or Organization.
Enter the necessary information for each field, ensuring all required fields are completed before saving.
3. Editing and Managing Contacts
You can view and edit any contact in CORTO.
Click Contact Name.
βClick Edit.
Update any information necessary.
βSelect whether you want CORTO AI to automatically update the details if new information is found in your matter documents.
π‘ Roles are managed within the context of a specific matter. You can update the roles in Matter Details.
4. Viewing Change History
You can view the change history in CORTO and restore previous versions.
Click on the View Change Log icon.
Review the history of changes made to the Contact.
Restore a previous version if needed.
β οΈ Restoring a contact to a previous version will permanently remove any updates made after that version. Double check before confirming.

Q: How does CORTO AI update Contacts?
βA: CORTO AI continuously monitors new information across your workspace. If it detected updated roles, contact details or affiliations, it can automatically update existing contact records - reducing the need for manual edits.
Q: Can I see what's changed in a Contact?
A: Yes β all updates are logged in the View Change Log History. You can review any version of a contact and revert to a previous state.
